We are UK-based Environmental Consultants with interests in parasitic plants, ecology of historic navigation canals, the ecology and conservation of unusual plant and insect species plus some industrial and landscape archaeology.
Some of our current specialisms and projects are outlined below - click the picture links or the More Information tab in the menu for some details.
Jonathan Briggs Associates are Jonathan Briggs and Caroline Tandy, both based in Gloucestershire, UK. Our professional background is largely in ecological advisory and consultancy work, including 20 years each with British Waterways (the UK historic canals authority, now the Canal & River Trust), but we both have had extensive wider involvement in other environmental and heritage businesses and charities at both national and regional/local levels. We also have extensive experience in environmental media and marketing work at all levels and through many interest groups.
Jonathan Briggs studied Botany at the University of Bristol and Industrial Archaeology at the Ironbridge campus of the University of Birmingham. He has been keeping up with IT and contemporary science with the Open University since 2002. Caroline Tandy studied Environmental Sciences at the University of Southampton and Landscape Archaeology at the University of Bristol.
In recent years we've done a lot of work with mistletoe, the parasitic plant best-known at Christmas, but have also continued with other species projects, waterway consultancy and a variety of media and marketing projects.
We are based in Stonehouse, Gloucestershire, UK.
